A Matter of Life and Death (Digital Download) - Louie Giglio
In this series, Pastor Louie Giglio tackles fundamental life questions such as:
Where do we go when we die?
Is hell a real place?
Is heaven real, and if so, is it somewhere we want to go?
Does our life on earth affect our eternity?
Pastor Louie boldly guides us in answering these questions with biblical truth, and makes us acutely aware of the beauty of heaven and the reality of hell. These messages teach us that God gives us the ability to embrace what the world fears most and that we have the opportunity to better leverage our lives here on earth. This series leaves us confident in the truth that with Jesus - death is life.

We saw this series live at PCC and then, a few years later, got the dvd study for our small group. It is excellent. Like most study guides, the discussion questions weren't the best for sparking conversation so we made up our own as we watched. And the conversation was excellent. I'd suggest that the writers of the study guides for all series try them out on an actual small group to see if the questions are conversation-worthy. If you introduce a question and get one or two-word answers and no conversation, it's a pretty good indication that the question was a dud. We've been leading a small group for 7 years and have a lot of practice at starting conversations (which I think should be the goal of small groups that want to build relationships within a church and grow individual faith). Anyway, this is a great series and I highly recommend it.
