Goliath Must Fall - Louie Giglio

$ 13.00

How do we overcome those battles in our lives that we always seem to be fighting?

It is not God's plan for you to live with some big giant standing in the middle of your life demoralizing you day after day after day and diminishing God's glory, robbing God's glory in your life. It's never been more important that we understand that our freedom and God's glory are forever interwoven into one story. God does want us to live free. He wants us to recognize that He's already killed the giant.

We all have giants in our lives that creep in and take over. Giants like rejection, anxiety, fear, anger, and addiction. These adversaries establish a foothold, and before we know it we are tolerating something that is diminishing the glory of God in our lives and holding us back from the freedom that Jesus intends for us. So how do we break out of these patterns once and for all?

Put aside what you may think about the classic David vs. Goliath story. In Goliath Must Fall, Giglio shows us how to dwell on the size of our God, not the height of our giants. Once we understand the source of our giants, we can ensure us that whatever our affliction is, it can, will, and must fall down with the power of Jesus.

Grateful for the real honesty

Empowering book - points straight to scripture and reminds us that it's alive and active and sharper than a 2-edged sword and must be studied and wielded to enable us to live in victory in our lives. Christ is our victory, and this book inspires me to stay in the word, to look deeper and to live fully.

Tired of feeling hated or of bad habits?

Louie Giglio continues to show his God given gift of teaching and writing in Goliath Must Fall. I have struggled with a bad personal habit for years, and this book has inspired me that I can break the habit in the name of Jesus. I have always felt terrible about the times I fell short but I was inspired that Jesus is bigger than my addiction, and He will guide me out.

If you are tired of your fears, tired of feeling rejected, and tired of your addictions including your addiction of wanting to be loved whether in person or through social media, this book is for you. The book also goes into anger and comfort issues. It only takes about five hours to read the whole book, and it will be worth your time.

This is a "life-changing" must read

After reading the title "Goliath Must Fall" I knew that I had to get my hands on this book because I knew from the story of David and Goliath that Goliath had already fallen. Louie takes us on an amazing journey back into this long-told tale and reminds us that the true hero in this story is not David but really....Jesus!
It's amazing how in life we can allow fear, anxiety, addiction, rejection, anger, and comfort cripple us because of the lies we allow the enemy to plant in our minds. I know that in my recent past that I haven't been strong enough to take on those giants in my life, but JESUS IS!!!
I love how Louie plants us right on the battlefield and paints a picture of what looks to be an impossible opponent, a 9-foot behemoth. I know I have been right where David was standing and stuck in a state of fear and anxiety staring me down. I was crippled and had no means of power of my own to take them down. The GOOD NEWS is that Jesus has WON put an end to whatever is dragging you down. The enemy wants to take you down, but JESUS wants to lift you up!
JESUS is the lead story as he always has been, and if you are tired of allowing the enemy drag you down and beat you up, pick up this book for yourself and a friend and prepare to LIVE a life of FREEDOM and VICTORY! I know you will love this book as much as I have!

A Great Perspective on a Familiar Story

When I first heard the title of Louie Giglio’s book I wasn’t exactly sure what to expect, but once I dove into the book I realized it was exactly what I needed!

Louie is a powerful speaker and has a great way of relating a story to a topic to make it easier to understand. He does that so well in this book.

When starting the book it could be easy to say I don’t know what my giant is, but Louie did an excellent job handling this. He explained that we each have a giant, but we may be comfortable with it and we need to ask God to reveal it to us. For others, the giant is clear.

One of the points that stood out to me is that we are not David in the story of David and Goliath. I found Louie’s perspective to shed a new light on a popular story.

Since starting this book, I have become more aware of the points Louie made in this book. He not only brought giants to light, but also offered guidance through God on how to overcome these giants.

Louie was relatable as he shared his own giant and his journey with the giant. I also appreciate how Louie shared that he is still overcoming his giant. Many people will write books and offer this splendid life where instantly everything is rainbows and pots of gold, but we know life doesn’t always (usually) work that way. This book was both honest and practical and I really appreciate that.
